Fast-paced and epic magical fights, exciting plot twists, and non-stop action and adventure await. So sit down, buckle up, and hold on for the explosive, much-anticipated conclusion to the award-winning and bestselling Mosaic Chronicles.

Nicole put her stuff down, not wanting anything to be in her hands when she picked up the disgusting book. She reached for it, but hesitated. Already, she could sense warmth coming from the leather cover, and she wasn’t even touching it. Its magical pulses were different from the other items—they seemed to drip off the book like sweat.

Nicole hesitated, but wasn’t sure why. It wasn’t as if something bad would happen, right? She took a deep breath and placed her hands on the book. It shivered under her touch and she cringed, pulling back. The sensation of warm leather made her flesh crawl, and she rubbed her hands and arms on her jeans, trying to get the feeling to go away.

Come on, Nicole. Don’t wimp out.

Without letting herself think about it, she picked up the book and lifted the cover.
A wind rushed over her, blowing her hair back, roaring in her ears. She caught a brief whiff of tobacco smoke before the surge of air reversed and sucked the breath out of her lungs, making her gasp.

The floor under her quaked. The book vibrated. The leather on the cover moved, muscles beneath it flexing. Nicole tried to drop the book, but couldn’t. She was unable to control her hands or fingers. They clenched so tightly, they ached. A shadow covered the pages of the book, preventing her from reading.

What was going on? She gasped again, trying to breathe against the strong wind. She felt someone touch her shoulder, but she couldn’t move. Her fingers still clung to the book. The shadow on the pages shifted, roiled, and turned toward her, the brief outline of a face visible. It watched her for several moments.

Nicole . . .

The voice was soft, deep. A strange yearning inside her made her want to read the book, to understand. To join the owner of the voice, though she didn’t know where or what he was.

The wind slowed to a gentle and familiar caress across her cheek. Familiar?

Then suddenly, it all stopped. The book fell from her hands and slammed itself shut. She backed away, her arms, legs—everything—shaking.

“What happened?” Professor Coolidge asked next to her, making her jump.

“I—I don’t know.” Nicole tried to smooth her hair, but her hands shook too much. She tucked them under her arms. “It said my name . . . and there was a shadow. In-inside it.”

Coolidge lifted the leather book. His mouth popped open in surprise. “You’ve activated a force within it—something alive.” He looked at her, fear and worry on his face.

“How did you do that?”

Nicole shook her head. “I don’t know,” she repeated.

Professor Coolidge put the book back on the table. “I’m not sure what to say, other than the book is much more powerful than it used to be.” He peered at her, scrutinizing her. “And I’d love to know why it called to you, why you woke it up, when so many others have not.”

Moon Struck by Donna Grant - Excerpt Reveal

Years ago, Solomon LaRue’s life was ripped apart when his fiancΓ©e was taken from him brutally and without cause. After, he vowed to never love again and put all of his energy into defending New Orleans from the evil Voodoo priestess out to destroy everything he held dear. Until a beautiful and maddening witch from the Quarter comes into his life and shakes everything up. Now, he thinks of nothing but her, and despite the dangers surrounding his family, he can’t help but alter his plans to make sure she stays safe. At all costs.

For most of her life, Minka Verdin thought she was nothing more than a gifted fortune teller until a life-altering experience brought her into her powers. Now, honed and hardened to be the weapon she knows she can be, she has no time for lust and love in her life.

Unfortunately, a certain sexy-as-sin werewolf occupies her thoughts—and her heart—day in and day out. Minka knows that the survival of many is always more important than the safety of one, and she is more than willing to sacrifice herself so that those she loves remain untouched. But Solomon is having none of that and reminds her that there is no force as strong as the magic between them.

Was it worse to want someone you couldn’t have? Or to never know that kind of longing?

Minka wasn’t sure which was more awful. She knew that no matter how much she hunkered for Solomon’s touch or craved his attention, that she would never be his. That kind of knowledge did strange things to a person.

Her heart had jumped in her throat to find him there. It had felt like forever since she’d seen his face and those brilliant blue eyes. All the LaRues and Chiassons had them, but Solomon’s were brighter than the others’.

And his hair. The dark blond strands were laced with pale brown that made her want to sink her hands into the locks.

His face was all hard angles and ruggedness that she longed to touch and kiss. The shadow of dark whiskers on his jaw made her stomach flutter and her skin prickle with awareness.

Then there was that body of his. Could anyone wear jeans like Solomon? The denim clung to his trim waist and hips, curving over his fine ass before encasing his long legs. Though it was his ability to wear a plain white shirt over the impeccably hard sinew of his chest and wide shoulders that could make her heart miss a beat.

He was simply mouth-watering. The complete package...and utterly out of reach.

Factor in Trystan, the princess’s terrifying betrothed who is intent on unraveling all her secrets, and her own growing feelings for Ruckus, and Delaney is in way over her head.

Get lost Amid Stars and Darkness, in this YA sci-fi romance from debut author Chani Lynn Feener.

This is the introduction to a sensational concept with outstanding characters. There isn't a boring moment throughout the story. Marvelous!

Three years ago, aliens visiting and living on earth revealed themselves to the humans. There are two kingdoms on the planet Xenith. The Vacars and the Kints. The aliens are allowed to stay on earth for five years to experience the culture but there are some who settle. The kingdoms have been in conflict but, have now agreed to a peace treaty. With conditions!

Delaney has just graduated from high school and looking forward to her new venture. She shares an apartment with her best friend Mariana.

Ruckus is the bodyguard to Lissa Olena, the Vakar princess. She is the most hated person on the planet. She has spent her five years on earth and being royalty, she doesn't have the option of staying. She has to return to do her duties but, she has no intentions of going back. Not that she has a choice!

Trystan is the prince and heir to the Kints. He is betrothed to Olena by arrangement as the condition of keeping the peace. They can't stand each other but, have to do as they are told.

Mariana is eager to go to this nightclub to meet her alien boyfriend. Delaney reluctantly goes with her and when they are separated, she decides to go back home. They keep each other informed of what they are doing. Delaney has a strange encounter before exiting the club and when she is outside, she is kidnapped. Mistaken identity? She puts up a fight but, she is no match for her abductor who doesn't believe that she isn't Olena. Ruckus knows that there is an impending attempt on Olena and as her bodyguard, her safety comes first.

Delaney wakes up on Xenith and this is where she realises that she no longer look the same. Oops! Ruckus knows that he has made a mistake and can't afford for this to leak as it will definitely spark off the war which will have a drastic impact on earth. They decide to keep it amongst a selected few and convince Delaney to play along until they find Olena. Despite her apprehensions, knowing what a war would do to the humans, she agrees. She doesn’t have a clue about the Vakars' way of life and Ruckus is only too willing to assist. It shouldn't be too difficult. He has a good personality and looks like a runway model. He is impressed by her personality, which is the complete opposite to Olena. She is quick witted, strong and compassionate. Unfortunately, Olena's reputation is well known and there are many who want to get rid of her. Especially, the Tars, a group of rebels who want to stop the wedding that will tie the Vakar to the Kints.

When Trystan pays Olena a visit, he notices the subtle changes in her. Could her stay on earth have done some good after all? He is no fool and very observant. There are times when he gives the impression that he knows what's going on. Little tests about her likes and dislikes! Ruckus and Delaney become enamoured even though, it's the wrong thing to do. Trystan wants to explore the new persona and he too might just be falling for her. She has already made up her mind about him after their first encounter. He has the looks of an angel but he is dangerous!

All things considered, Delaney adapts to her role fairly well despite, the numerous assassination attempts on her life. She comes close on a couple of occasions. Will they find Olena in time for her to return home? What about this "thing" between her and Ruckus? Will Trystan put two and two together?

I like Ruckus but sometimes he is overprotective and does his best to keep Trystan away from Delaney. Granted, they tend to argue a lot but there is definitely something else developing there. I must admit that I have a soft spot for Trystan. He does a few things that might look out of character to others but, I find them admirable.

It's a rivetting and well orchestrated plot. I found the whole thing to be fascinating. The romance. The conflicts. The technology. The way of life. I can't say that there is anything that I didn't like. The cliffhanger has left me more than curious and I will definitely be stalking this author to find out when the next part of this trilogy is being released. It's one of the best young adult SciFi novel that I have read in a while, and highly recommend.

I was kindly issued with an eARC and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

🌟 🌟 🌟

Wesley James Ruined My Life takes bearing a grudge to the extreme. It's all about the inability to forgive and forget. Revenge is the only way to go!

Quinn works in a restaurant with Henry VIII as the theme, where the staff members have to play the part. In some ways, it's her ideal job as her dream is to visit London, after having heard countless stories from her grandmother. She is looking forward to go on tour to London with her band.

Wesley and Quinn used to be good friends until they fell out just before he moved away when they were only eleven years old. He has now returned to Seattle and doesn't expect the reaction that he receives from her.

It's five years later and instead of acting her age, Quinn is still behaving as an eleven years old. Mainly towards Wesley! She is going through a rough time with family problems. On top of it all, her grandmother has been diagnosed with one of the most upsetting illnesses. Upon seeing Wesley who starts to work at the restaurant, she has only one thing on her mind, revenge. The fact that she still blames him for something that happened when they were so young, says a lot about her. Even worse, she doesn't even have all the facts.

She starts devising plans to get her own back and having him sacked from the job. He comes across as being very nice, polite and good fun. He does his best to rekindle their friendship. He even tries to bring up some of the good memories but, she is having none of it. She appears to go the wrong way about most things. What she does to help her dad is completely the wrong thing to do, even if her intentions are good. Then using her friend, Caleb to make Wesley jealous is the most selfish thing that she could have done. She jumps in without thinking about the consequences. Giving someone false hope so blatantly, is totally wrong.

Quinn plays a bigger part than Wesley in the story. Although it's revolved around both of them, I would have liked to have known a little more about him. I like the way it shapes up at the end. It's frustrating at times but, fun, short and easy to read.

I was kindly issued with an eARC and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

Religious Mystery Thrillers by Ken Fry - Book Tour and Giveaway

The Lazarus Succession
by Ken Fry

Historical Mystery Thriller

modern-day suspense thriller with a medieval mystery.

The Lazarus Succession takes readers to the ancient scene of Christ's greatest miracle, to medieval Spain, and back to modern-day Europe. In typical Ken Fry style, nothing is as it seems and a surprise awaits at every turn of the page.

According to legend, Annas Zevi, an artist who witnessed the raising of Lazarus, was told by Christ to paint what he saw. Over the centuries, his completed works has vanished, along with every other painting depicting Lazarus' resurrection. They were rumoured to be sacred
icons with miraculous powers.

International Art Recovery Experts, Broderick Ladro and Ulla Stuart, are hired by a disgraced High Court judge, Sir Maxwell Throgmorton, to locate a long lost medieval painting by Spanish artist Francisco Cortez. Like Zevi, his work is said to be divinely inspired.

Throgmorton's client, a wealthy Spanish Condesa, is terminally ill and the icon is her last hope. She will pay and do whatever it takes to find the missing work of Cortez.

Unbeknown to the Condesa, Throgmorton seeks to make a vast personal fortune from the discovery of the paintings, and use it to reclaim his place in society.

Ladbroke and Stuart learns of Throgmorton's deceit and attempts to thwart his plans. As they delve deeper into the mystery of the missing Cortex painting, they discover a secret that changes their lives forever.

Just as it changed the lives of everyone it touched across the centuries.

Praise for The Lazarus Succession

"...the supernatural elements, and their effect on the characters, are pure genius. Even an old cynic like me was entranced. The addition of a little historical flavour, in the shape of frequent glances into a beautifully depicted medieval Spain, gives the novel context, and a
timeless magic I found addictive. This is polished fiction of the highest calibre, and I'm more than happy to award 5 stars." - Stuart Kenyon, author

"...this is an excellent novel with many twists and turns, the pacing is perfection, the characters are wonderful and the ending couldn't be better. If you want a riveting tale that will hold you in thrall from the first page to the last, then this is your book." Carol Marrs Phipps, author

"The Lazarus Succession has a great historical and religious foundation combined with a dynamic plot, twists, and turns. Ken Fry knows how to keep the reader's attention and trigger their emotional response."  Lilah E. Noir, author

The Patmos Enigma

by Ken Fry

Historical Mystery Thriller

With the success of his UK Top 10 bestselling religious mystery, The Lazarus Succession, Ken Fry once again crafts a cunning and explosive historical thriller unlike any you've read before.

Tel Aviv, Israel.

Archaeologist, Joshua Agar makes a stunning discovery when on one of his excavation sites, they unearth an ancient ossuary, untouched since the day it was buried. Evidence and analysis reveals that the contents of the find appear to be the six of the Seven Seals mentioned in the bible's Book of Revelation.

The Seventh is missing.

Meanwhile, a mysterious man has been walking the Earth for millennia. He waits...*amassing knowledge and power, seeking to bring about the one event that would release him from his endless existence. With
the discovery in Tel Aviv, his waiting might soon be over.

Joshua Agar and his team, Professor Simon Rockwell and Dr. Rachel Carver soon realises the significance of their find. An ancient SOCIETY known as The Keepers awakens, and they are after the Seven Seals. For it has been told, that whosoever breaks the seven seals will
have unimaginable power and control over the new world promised through the Second Coming of Christ.

The frantic hunt for the Seventh Seal begins. Through dusty caves, ancient churches, and even within the most secretive vault on earth, they search for clues to the possible resting place of the missing seal.

The archaeologists are not alone. Another ancient secret
brotherhood called the Guardians have long protected the Seven Seals, since the time John of Patmos entrusted to them the Seventh. Using their resources, they attempt to discover the identity of  The Grand Keeper and impede his plans for global upheaval.

As scientists, the archaeologists perceive their discovery as a historical relic and not a religious find. But with the
forces aroused by the unearthing of the artefact, they start to question if there is indeed truth in the story.

The Patios Enigma will take you on a journey of wonders and thrills as it hurtles from dark truths to enlightening revelations as the war between science and mysticism commences.

My Review
5 Stars
🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

This second instalment picks up right where it left off in the first one. The pace is consistent and doesn't give any reprieve.

Roman and Julianna continue to struggle with their feelings. Roman is convinced that he is not worthy of Julianna. She can see the good in him but, being a Capulet puts her in a position where she could lose everything and everyone if she is not careful. They try to stay away from each other but, it only takes a look or a touch for the fire to be ignited between them. Whenever they give in to this undeniable attraction, trouble follows.

Roman is torn between his family obligations and the love of his life. Going against his father could cost them their lives. There are so many obstacles that they don't know whether they are coming or going. When Roman finds himself being pulled further into his father's world, he comes to a decision which could so easily backfire. Besides, it's not the easiest solution! Julianna is more confused than ever with the mix messages.

This story is heartbreaking and frustrating. The rivalry and hate between the Tyrells and the Capulets are indisputable and the young starcrossed lovers are stuck in the middle. This version of Romeo and Juliet is emotionally fierce and fiery. My heart sank after what transpired at the end. There is no telling on what to expect next. I am looking forward to the grand finale and I do hope that the fates will look favourably on this beautiful young couple.

I received a complimentary eARC and the views expressed are my personal opinion.
